Booths, demonstrations, and prizes of special interest to computer users will be featured at "Work Smart, Safe, Well: Health & Safety Fair 2002", Wednesday, September 18, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in Pauley Ballroom and upper Sproul Plaza. Outside vendors and campus departments, including CAL PACT, CNS Voice Services, and The Scholar's Workstation, will sponsor computer-related activities, such as:
Fair-goers will also have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win prizes, including ergonomic furniture and accessories donated by Campus Supply.
In addition to ergonomics, other fair booths and activities will address health and fitness, workplace safety, crime prevention, work and family issues, and many other topics. Among the day's attractions are free mini-massages and a blood drive.
All faculty and staff are encouraged to attend two hours of staff release time has been granted by the Chancellor. More information is available at the University Health Services website (http://www.uhs.berkeley.edu/).
