"Rebuilding and Repositioning Our Student Information World" Campus Forum on Student Systems — August 13

Lisa Chow, IST–SIS

On Tuesday, August 13, the Office of the Registrar and Student Information Systems will host the third annual Campus Forum on Student Systems in 155 Dwinelle Hall from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

With the e-Berkeley Initiative, the Berkeley campus has many new systems and changes in its delivery of student services. The forum will present an overview of student systems planning and policy, and tools for students and staff. There will be an open discussion period to address questions and hear the needs and concerns of users of student systems. Break out and poster sessions are planned on the new CourseWeb system, IDMS/Bear Facts, CARS, the student portal concept, CalNet, e-Grades, SEVIS, and the Disabled Student Program. The forum hopes to keep staff in tune with the e-volving student systems as it moves from old legacy systems to new technology.

Berkeley staff and faculty are invited to attend. Please join us. Sign up for the forum by August 5 at the Student Systems Forum page (http://bearfacts.berkeley.edu:4005/). Questions regarding the forum can be directed to Lisa Chow, lisachow@uclink4.berkeley.edu, 642-6897.
