Technology classroom upgrades

The Design and Engineering team at ETS has completed its renovation of
the audio-visual system in 105 Northgate Hall, a general-assignment
classroom located in the Graduate School of Journalism complex. The
Design and Engineering team has also completed the first part of a
two-phase renovation of the audio-visual system in 2050 VLSB, a
249-seat general-assignment classroom located in the Valley Life
Sciences Building.
105 Northgate Hall enhancements are:
- A new LCD projection system with an improved screen that enables
larger and brighter images.
- New program speakers in the front of the room to enhance audio
projection of VCR and DVD content.
- A discrete speech reinforcement system for clearer and fuller
voice reproduction.
- A state-of-the-art, 32-button control panel to assure
user-friendly operation of all of the room's AV equipment.
- New digital signal processing equipment (DSP) that allows us to
make changes and additions to the audio system via computer
software.
2050 VLSB upgrades include:
- New infrastructure.
- New digital signal processing equipment (DSP) that allows us to
make changes and additions to the audio system via computer
software.
- Improvements to the Webcasting audio system, which is now able
to support a full production audio board and video production
switcher.
