Connecting@Berkeley Service Team, ISTWSS
The C@B 2006 CD is an essential accessory for protecting and connecting your
computer at UC Berkeley. It's free and available for your
Windows or Macintosh computer.
You can use the CD to:
-
Help your computer meet the campus's mandatory minimum security
standards (http://socrates.berkeley.edu:2002/MinStds/AppA.min.htm).
-
Help protect your computer from viruses and Internet attacks by
installing antivirus and personal firewall software.
-
Obtain high-quality software for securely checking and sending
email, transferring files, and more.
-
Add settings so your computer can connect to the Internet via the
dial-up, wireless (AirBears), and wired services available at UC
Berkeley, while keeping any Internet settings you already have.
