On Tuesday, December 4, 2007, version 3.1 of the CalNet Central Authentication Service (CAS) will be installed on auth.berkeley.edu. CAS 3.1 enforces Service Registration; this means that any application using CAS that has not been registered by December 4, 2007, will no longer work with CAS, and users of that application will not be able to authenticate.
CalNet developers must register their application before December 4, following the instructions detailed on the CAS Registration Information page.
Note that registration is required only for CAS. If your application is still using the Authentication Web Service (AWS), it is not affected by this change.
