Bernie Rossi, CalMail Team
Currently, the CalMail mailing list service treats email sent from @uclink{2,3,4}.berkeley.edu and @calmail.berkeley.edu addresses as equivalent to @berkeley.edu addresses. Because we no longer encourage the use of the older @uclink and @calmail addresses, we will discontinue support of posting to mailing lists from these variants.
On February 28, 2008, we will change to @berkeley.edu, any @uclink or @calmail address subscribed to a CalMail managed list. This change will affect users who are subscribed and posting to a restricted list (members only) with an address of @uclink or @calmail.
This change in no way will affect users who are subscribed and posting to lists from other systems. Nothing will change for them, they can continue to receive and post to the lists as normal.
In order to assist you with this transition, we have posted a Knowledge Base article with instructions on how to change your settings within the major email clients. See How do I change my address to @berkeley.edu?.
If your email client is not listed within the article, or you need assistance in changing your settings, contact
If there is a reason why your subscription must remain as it is currently subscribed, send email to and we will work with you on a solution to this issue.
