Time to renew ABAQUS and SAS licenses

Michelle Bautista

The new year means it's time to renew software licenses. Two major licenses will be expiring soon, ABAQUS and SAS.

SAS will expire April 14, 1998. From January to March, SAS licenses will be charged at a prorated fee of $110 for Windows, Mac OS, and OS/2 machines. This prorated license will last until April 1998. Users may continue to renew their current version or upgrade to Version 6.12.

ABAQUS will expire April 30, 1998. Hibbett, Karlsson and Sorensen, the makers of ABAQUS, have dramatically restructured their academic pricing method. These price changes will take affect with the renewal in April. Software Distribution will be conducting a survey of prospective ABAQUS users during March to determine Abaqus prices for the following year.
